Happy Fat Tuesday!

A bit far from the home of Mardi Gras (and a lot colder), come celebrate Fat Tuesday with my favorite radio station, Mix 104.1 today at Faneuil Hall Marketplace! Yes, you may think I'm just saying this because I still street team for them but they truly are one of the best companies I've ever worked for. And this is my favorite kind of promotion because the on-air DJs will be there, making it so much more fun and exciting for anyone involved. So bundle up and join Mix 104.1 at 2 p.m. for some Fat Tuesday festivities!

This awesome event kicks off with a New Orleans-style parade featuring floats decorated by Faneuil Hall merchants including Dick’s Last Resort, Cheers, Boston Harley-Davidson and Sprinkles Ice Cream & Fudge Shoppe. Watch as they tap into their colorful, creative side as they compete for the Best Decorated Float. Floats start rolling out of the West End and spectators are invited to join the procession around Faneuil Hall Marketplace!

Salt from the Karson and Kennedy Morning Show on Mix 104.1 FM will emcee the event, led by the ever-so lively Harvard University Band! After the parade, there will be Mardi Gras celebrations at the various restaurants on the property. Dress warm and get ready to catch some beads (drinks are on Salt)! If you're a foodie like me, you'll appreciate this post! When Instagram first claimed the lives of millions with its time consuming, photo-sharing and editing app, uploading pictures of food and drinks was all the rage. This practice hasn't grown stale quite yet.
