Bars across Boston host NYE festivities each year. Parties range from raves to black tie affairs (depending on how much you want to spend). One thing you'll find in common at each, that gets the party started and keeps it going well into the New Year, is the music. From slow jams to 90's tribute bands, we're bringing you some of the best bars with live music to celebrate at this NYE!
Brighton Music Hall: Saved By the 90's
Tell me what you want, what you really, really want. 90's music, of course! We may be 17 years removed from the decade of Spice Girls and the Backstreet Boys, but any excuse is a good excuse to party all night with a 90's tribute band at Brighton Music Hall. Yes, Backstreets back, alright!
Great Scott: GosT
For those with a gothic edge, darkwave synth project GosT will be at Great Scott starting a dance party of a different kind.
Middle East: Timberfakes
Downstairs at the Middle East, the music of Justin Timberlake will soundtrack the night, but JT won’t actually be performing. Instead, tribute band The Timberfakes will be there to rock your body ‘til the break of day.
Lilypad: Some Like It Hott
Lilypad in Inman Square will transform into a futuristic discotheque for the night, featuring four different DJ sets and a performance from local ambient duo Sunshine City.
Regattabar: Dwight and Nicole
Bluesy duo Dwight and Nicole will deliver its hard-driving vocals and soulful energy to the Cambridge jazz club Regattabar.
Get in the mood to groove and devour the details of these and more venues in the Boston area to celebrate with good music this NYE!
