Happy Monday Mashup! We know you had those Sunday Scaries last night but we're here to tell you there's only 5 work days standing between you and the weekend. No plans yet? Don't worry, we got you (and three others) covered!
Head in to town for a night at Yvonne’s, a modern reinterpretation of the 'supper club'. This is a place that effortlessly flows from dinner and drinks to lounging and revelry, where every visit offers an ever-evolving experience that lets the night take the lead. Sounds pretty underground to us. With it comes an entirely new social experience blending cosmopolitan cuisine with high-touch service in impossibly chic surroundings.
A staple of Boston’s dining scene for more than a century, Locke-Ober opened its doors in 1862 as a small cellar cafĂ© run by Luis Ober. For years, Ober oversaw the Winter Place address and, with the help of a wealthy investor, renovated the space into the structure that still stands today. The landmark restaurant was known for its elite clientele, paramount discretion, globe-trotting food and wild parties – all of which are still elements Yvonne’s maintains today. We're not terribly sure why there would need to be paramount discretion in this setting but we're interested in giving it a whirl. Especially because of the real reason we want you to go; for the drinks!
Yvonne’s offers large-batch cocktails that are suited to group gatherings. Yes you read that right. Picture a scorpion bowl or those fish bowl drinks but better! The specialty menu includes cocktails such as the Moscow Mule and the Long Thailand Iced Tea with a blend of rums, sweet Thai iced tea, coconut, and tapioca pearls; the regular drink menu includes recent additions such as the Pumpkin Spiced Mule with vodka, pumpkin spice, ginger, lime, and soda; and the Penicillin with blended scotch whiskey, lemon, ginger, honey, and an Islay malt float on top. Did we mention each large-batch cocktail serves 4 people? Now you're catching our drift! Groups of 20 to full buyouts of 250 can be accommodated, and each large-batch cocktail is priced at $95. Amazing!
Just look at that drink! You can't go wrong with any of their concoctions during a night out. So grab three of your closest gal pals and devour the details of Yvonne's cocktails when hitting the town this weekend! You'll be happy you did!
