Brown Butter & Sage Popcorn
Ingredients:
½ cup plain, corn kernels (or bagged popcorn for the quick version)
fresh sage, about 5-6 leaves depending on how strong you want the flavor
3 tablespoons butter
truffle salt (for taste)
Instructions:
On the stove top:
- Start popping your kernels on the stovetop with a pot with a clear lid. Then, in a separate saucepan, start cooking your butter and fresh sage. Cook until the butter is browned and the sage is nice and crispy.
- Pour the butter-sage mixture on your popcorn, and we like to finish it off by sprinkling with truffle salt. So good.
- Pop your bag of popcorn, then remove from the microwave. Place your butter and fresh sage leaves in a microwave-safe container and cook in the microwave for about 30 seconds or until butter is melted. Note: This won’t make your sage crispy like it will on a stove top, but it will infuse your butter with the sage flavors (which is delicious).
- Pour mixture on popcorn and sprinkle with truffle salt.
