OpenTable is a public company that offers online real-time restaurant reservation services. It was founded in 1998 by Chuck Templeton in San Francisco, California. Reservations are free to restaurant goers, however, the company charges restaurants monthly and per-reservation fees for the use of the OpenTable system.
OpenTable seats more than 12 million diners per month via online bookings across approximately 30,000 restaurants. The OpenTable network connects restaurants and diners around the world, helping diners discover and book the perfect table and helping restaurants deliver exceptional hospitality to keep guests coming back for more. The service enables diners to see which restaurants have available tables, select a restaurant based on verified diner reviews, menus and other helpful information, and easily book a reservation.
In addition to the company’s website and mobile apps, OpenTable supports online reservations for nearly 600 partners. For restaurants, the OpenTable hospitality solutions enable them to manage their reservation book, streamline their operations and enhance their service levels. The benefits are endless.
As I blogged, I did a search for reservations for two in Boston at 5pm and was able to browse through 271 restaurants to choose from. This awesome tool makes date night so much easier, but it doesn't stop there! You can also book for larger parties and special occasions. Each time you follow through with a reservation using OpenTable, you're able to earn Dining Rewards Points. Your points will eventually add up to a gift card you can use at any of the restaurants partnered with OpenTable. I highly recommend trying this system out!

I am Elle Woods
One of my favorite movies of all time is Legally Blonde. Reese Witherspoon is truly inspirational in the comedic role of Elle Woods, a blonde sorority girl from LA who, despite all odds, becomes a true success story at Harvard Law. As I recently watched this movie, I thought about throwing a Legally Blonde themed party. Then I thought, this would be the perfect theme for my own birthday. So, until my birthday in August, make sure to practice your bend and snap and buy something pink to wear!
Here are my ideas..
Tablescape, pink of course, with various linen styles, stripes and polka dots! I would definitely want my party outside since it's in the summer, so a setting like this is perfect.
I can't wait to devour the rest of the details for this party!

These pinks balloons inside bigger clear balloons, tied with ribbons, creates a unique look. I would lengthen the ribbon and use balloon weights so I could put them around the perimeter of where the table would be setup outside.
The popcorn and candy bars are a cute way to incorporate quotes from the movie and give my guests something to snack on and take home.
Blinged out champagne bottles would be a must at my next birthday. Keeping the pink theme throughout the party is crucial because as Elle would say "whoever said orange was the new pink was seriously disturbed".
These vintage-looking Barbie water bottles would be my party favors.
And you bet my outfit would look something like this, except I would get a basket big enough to put my puppy in, just like Elle!

Save Money On Your 2014 Wedding
As I was pinning and watching Extreme Cheapskates: Wedding Edition, I was inspired by a pin from BridalGuide.com. They shared a pin on how to save money when planning a wedding. Imagine how wonderful it would be to get thousands of dollars worth of wedding merchandise and products for free. In author Sharon Naylor's book The Bride's Guide to Freebies, she reveals money saving strategies on everything from the dress to the food to the entertainment. Naylor provides information on what to say (and not say) to score lots of swag and tips on how to foster positive relationships with vendors.
Here's how Naylor sums it up in her post. If you're wondering how to score freebies from vendors, 1. be likeable, 2. ask for freebies in person, 3. ask for items that take less time to make, and 4. negotiate package elements you don't want. All great tips when working with vendors. You may also be interested in scoring freebies from your friends and family. You can 1. borrow wedding-related items like any left-over décor, 2. barter wedding-related services, 3. save on bigger wedding purchases, and 4. request gift cards for your birthday or holidays to put towards any wedding-related items. Lastly Naylor suggests scoring freebies online 1. enter contests and sweepstakes and 2. follow bridal vendors' social media accounts.
These are excellent ideas to help you save on your big day. Read Naylor's post to find out more or pick up her book on Amazon or BN.com. Thanks for the great advice Sharon Naylor and keep devouring those details so we can reap the benefits!
