Three Easy Easter Treats

With Easter only a few days away, and it feeling more and more like Spring outside (with the exception of the snow today), I thought today would be a great day to share these three easy Easter treats I came across on Pinterest. Not only are these sweet treats easy to make, they're also fairly inexpensive and something everyone will love! We also enjoy incorporating everyone's favorite Easter candies from pastel mint candies to Peeps and everything in between.

Peep S'mores

Peep S'mores: When you put the peeps over the flames of the fire, the sugar starts to burn then caramelize, making them almost dangerously hot. Burn with caution. Microwave would probably be best.

Ingredients

3 Packages of Peeps (blue, pink, and yellow)
2 Hershey's Chocolate Bars
1 Box of Graham Crackers
Vary depending on how many you want to make

Directions

Warm Peeps in microwave for 10 second increments until soft enough.
Add Peep and a piece of the Hershey's chocolate bar between to graham crackers.
Voila, a delicious Easter s'more!

Mint Blossoms

"Easter Mint Blossoms..." These look so yummy.!!! Butter cookies with a pastel mint to add a hint of spring to this traditional butter cookie recipe...

Ingredients

1 1/4 cups sugar
3/4 cup Land O Lakes® Butter, softened
1 Land O Lakes® Egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
48 mint meltaway candies

Directions

Heat oven to 375°F.
Combine 1 cup sugar, butter, egg and vanilla in bowl. Beat at medium speed until well mixed. Add flour, baking soda and salt; beat at low speed until well mixed.
Shape dough into 1-inch balls; roll in remaining sugar. Place 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake 8-10 minutes or until edges are very light golden brown. Remove from oven; immediately press 1 mint candy in center of each cookie. Remove from cookie sheets to cooling rack; cool completely.

Layered Peeps Rice Krispie Treats

Layered Peeps Rice Krispie Treats for Easter

Ingredients

4 tablespoon butter or margarine (divided by 4)
4 Marshmallow Peeps (divided by 4/different colors)
6 cups Rice Krispies cereal (divided by 4)

Directions

Prepare an 8-9" loaf pan by lining with foil and spraying lightly with cooking spray.
Divide the Peeps by 10s of the same color - 10 pink, 10 yellow, etc. (use any colors you like).
In a medium sized microwave dish with high sides, microwave the 10 of the same color peeps and 1 tablespoon of butter on high for 45 seconds. Because microwaves vary, watch closely so the Peeps don't flow over the sides of the bowl.
Stir butter and Peeps together until fully melted and incorporated.
Stir in 1½ cups of cereal until fully coated. Press firmly into the loaf pan.
Repeat 3-5 with the other Peeps colors.
Allow to cool completely (1-2 hours) before slicing.
