Dive In! To Fun at the New England Aquarium

One Member-only event coming up this Wednesday, July 12th, dubbed the Dive In! open house, showcases information on different marine life. This week, the open house highlights shark education and awareness. Members of The Gills Club, an education initiative of the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy, will be onsite to share their knowledge and help others be “Smart About Sharks.” The Gills will have hands-on learning activities for families to take part in and discover how to age sharks, tag them, and make size estimates from aerial photographs. The event runs from 6:30-9:00PM. Check out the Aquarium website for more information.

Members can round out the evening with a treat from the cash snack bar and take home a memento of your evening with an extra discount in the Gift Shop. This is a free, members-only evening. No reservations are required, but admission is strictly limited to the number of admissions permitted with your membership level. Just as with Aquarium admission, children under 3 are admitted free and do not count toward your guest total. The size of your party must not exceed the number of admissions covered by your membership, which must be valid on the date of the event. Benefits are nontransferable, and someone from the member household must be present for the group to be admitted.
