Five Fun Fall Date Ideas

Are you 'Fall'ing in love this Autumn? Here are a couple of fun date night ideas that are sure to devour the details! Break out your flannels, vests, scarves, and boots and add these dates to your to-do's.

1. See some pumpkins

If you're ever in Rhode Island, I highly recommend visiting Roger Williams Zoo Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular! This amazing display has 5,000 illuminated jack-o-lanterns, with over 125 of them artistically carved and displayed in scenes to play out the annual theme. The theme for this year is Jack-O-Lanterns from A to Z (Christmas, Dinosaur, Jungle, Legends, Novels, etc.). Over 100,000 people have come in each of the past four years to enjoy the night time show, and last year’s Spectacular set an all-time record of over 135,000 visitors. It was a truly enjoyable experience and a nice way to get out with your significant other.

2. Go apple-picking

This is a great way to spend some quality time with your love. You get a chance to work together with climbing trees, finding, and picking the perfect apples. While you're there, take some time soaking in each other's company and enjoy a hot cider or two. Apple-picking also gives you an opportunity to create something together when you get home; apple pie, apple crisp, caramel apples - the possibilities are endless!

3. Have a fire

Whether you have a nice fireplace, wood-stove, or an outdoor fire-pit, grab your significant other and cuddle up! The warmth from your sweetheart and the fire will make any Fall night feel like Summer! Feel free to even roast some marshmallows for s'mores and make some hot chocolate to enrich the night.

4. Try a new food

There’s something special about discovering new things together as a couple. Testing out different cuisines is a simple way to add a little adventure into your day-to-day life. This is always a perfect date for the Fall because weather won't really be a conflict. I would recommend a restaurant with cuisine that will warm your insides like fondue or hotpot; there are plenty of options out there!

5. Take a hike

An overall great date - incorporating the outdoors and exercise! This is an awesome way to get to know each other on a deeper level. Take time to enjoy the fresh air and the peacefulness nature brings. It would even be a romantic time to stop on top of a mountain for a brief picnic. There may not be anything more beautiful, other than your date!
