Have A Scream, Halloween Sweet Sixteen!

If you or the teenager you're planning for has a birthday around October 31st, this is a great way to celebrate; have a scream and a Halloween-themed Sweet Sixteen! Invite guests to attend a night of frills and thrills by making it a costume party at your very own haunted house. That's right, you can actually rent a custom haunted house, making the party a night to die for!

Your Custom Haunted House are designers of all things Halloween. They setup a haunted house within hours and supply ghoulish good times across New England. Check out this demo video if you dare! This is a great idea because they can bring the haunted house to you, however, you may also be interested in hosting the party at a local attraction like the Hawthorne Hotel in Salem, MA or The Mount, Edith Wharton's Home in Lenox, MA.

If you're considering renting an event space, I like the idea of turning it into a Halloween Fun House. Creepy carnival people, in a circus tent, with tons to snack on. Make it one big freakshow!

Your invitations could be oversized tickets as if you were attending a real carnival/circus.

The entrance could look something like this.

A ringleader costume like this would be good for the birthday girl or boy since the party should revolve around them!

I love the idea of using drapes to create this circus tent look. Using dim lighting will also add that creepy touch.

Great Masquerade Decor! I wish I could do that!

Hire a fortune-teller for some extra fun for guests!

Food stands can be set up as twisted-carnival-looking booths serving candy, popcorn, and other treats!

You can have different performers and entertainment like the talent at Boston Circus Guild. They have fire performers, contortionists, and jugglers. This would be a great feature at the party!

I hope this has sparked some inspiration when it comes to planning. A Halloween theme really has so many opportunities to be creative and imaginative. I encourage you to incorporate as much or as little scary, creepy, and twisted elements as you want but keep in mind who will be attending and the overall purpose, like this Sweet Sixteen example. But, don't be afraid to make them scream a little and always devour the details!
